Question is, could you see Liza as Rory? Because that’s who Liza originally auditioned for, right?

Lindsay 11-18-2017 09:59 PM

Having seen her as Paris, nope I couldn't.

Talula78 11-19-2017 10:28 AM

It’s really hard to imagine. I think she’d play it so differently than Alexis.

Blue eyes met brown ones. Rory could see the same things that she felt herself: surprise, uncertainty and a growing spark of excitement. She could feel the blonde girl's warm breath on her face, the pace of her breathing quickening.
Found a nice Rory/Paris fanfic. The art is also in progress. On this subject, maybe we should add some Top 5 lists to the OP, in random order perhaps. Favorite episodes, favorite Pory stories, top quotes, and stuff like that.

Talula78 11-21-2017 08:31 AM

Sounds like a good idea, would you like to create something for the OP and we’ll add it?

James26 11-22-2017 03:47 PM

I don't know as much as everyone else here. I was just suggesting that people toss out their views on the greatest moments, episodes, and such, so we can list a few. My favorite Pory scenes are...let's see...

1. Rory acknowledging their friendship before the sleep-over

2. The hug during graduation

3. "What's up? What's up, quippy? Why so silent?"

4. Rory comforting Paris after the college rejection

5. Rory refusing to quit the paper, no matter how many dull assignments Paris gave her

6. Paris asking Rory "What are you looking at?" out of nowhere

7. Paris lightening up during the concert

I really wonder what went through Amy's mind while she was creating Paris (unless someone else created the character).

Anyway, I'll add the new art when I get a preview, or a finished scene. I don't really know what it'll look like, but I know what's supposed to be going on.

Those are great moments and a great idea, James! But you’ve pretty much named all of my favorite moments between them.

James26 11-23-2017 02:04 PM

LOL. Did we ever meet Paris's parents?

Lindsay 11-24-2017 04:51 PM

Hmm. I can't recall.

Those are some great moments.

We saw her mom, briefly, on parents-day at Chilton. Other than that her parents could be on the run from the IRS ever since.

That was when Lorelai awkwardly broke up with Max Medina.

James26 11-25-2017 03:12 PM

^ Thanks. I was curious as to whether she takes after them. I might check that episode out again.

Thanks for letting us know. :)

Oh, that’s right. Thanks for the refresh. :) Poor Paris with no family, really.

That's interesting. Usually, creators want to tell us why someone like Paris is the way she is. But I'm sort of glad that they didn't give her a tragic past.

Still, getting a look at the Geller Girls would've been fun.

Nice comments.

Quote:

Paris' character, that of an elitist academic loaded with money, quick temper, and fast-talking, clever comebacks, can't really be found in any other show. She was a mashup of brilliance and so many neuroses and problems that it's almost overwhelming, but also funny and sad.

The truth is, women like her, passionate, intense and bossy, are often completely hated and overly stereotyped, whereas Gilmore Girls managed to present her as a lovable and competent woman, albeit with a few idiosyncrasies.
