That first photo of him in the white shirt in the Instagram post is divine...those eyes
 .That is a great character analysis. For a character, that wasn't in that many eps really, he certainly made a significant impact. __________________

Yeah. I never felt that Jess was physically abused, but definately neglected, causing him to find solace in reading and an inability to form healthy relationships.
I can't stand the argument that Jess's upbringing is no excuse for his behaviour. If you have never been in or even seen a healthy functioning relationship, that is going to shape your attitude. I have seen several kids that have been through school with my kids who were raised by grandparents because the parents were no hopers, and every one of them had major problems. One is in prison I believe, so please don't tell me an unstable upbringing doesn't matter. The fact that Jess became a decent, stable man makes him a pretty good role model if you ask me. __________________

I’m really fairly certain that he was hit by Liz’s boyfriends at some point though even if it was never shown onscreen

Me too. I think people assuming Milo was busy is wrong. He said on that podcast that besides the This Is Us pilot he hadn't done anything else for a year, and he has always said that he would always make time for Amy and Dan. __________________
