Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread about these two Gilmore Girls characters, because I love their relationship. I would love if other fans of this show would agree with me in saying that Luke and Jess have a friendship that has grown throughout the years, and now have ended up in a great place.
I would love it, if we could have a fan list, so please feel free to share your thoughts, and contribute!

The thing I like about this relationship is that times were sometimes ugly, yet somehow they always stuck with each other. Jess confided in Luke about his "I Love You" to Rory and Jess had always known that Luke loved Lorelai. Luke let Jess come back even after he left to New York. Everyone told Luke he couldn't take care of a kid, but even then Luke trusted Jess. He wanted to make sure Jess graduated and so he had some ground for a future. They really are like father and son. Good title its from one of my favorite episodes and the few where Jess makes me laugh and doesn't bother me.
Lindsey under Rudy Can't Fail the fanfic could you just write a small warning to fans that its really anti Rory don't get me wrong there are times when the girl has made me mad but that fic is really extreme. I am not saying to get rid of just to write read at your own risk, or not for Rory fans. Cause I read it, and the author really blamed Rory for the mistakes in S3. I know she's a Lit, but I just found it to much.

LORELAI: Thank you. Hmm, Luke.
LUKE: What?
[Lorelai nods towards Jess, who is wiping down the counter dressed like Luke, complete with flannel shirt and backwards baseball cap. Luke walks over to him.]
LUKE: What do you think you're doing?
JESS: Working.
LUKE: So you think this is funny, huh?
JESS: I'm sorry. I thought this was the uniform.
LUKE: Okay, you know what, that's fine. Have your little joke, you know. It doesn't bother me at all. You just go over there and clean off that table, okay? I'm ignoring you. You do not exist.
JESS: Okay.
LUKE: That's it, get upstairs and change.
JESS: Whatever you say Uncle Luke.
LUKE: It's Luke, just Luke. Mister Luke. In fact, don't address me at all.

I love this relationship. Can you add me? I love that Luke lets Jess go out and that luke pushes him into the lake.

I think Luck and Jess are just awesome. One of my favorite things about them is that Luke challenges Jess in a way that others have never done before. And there's that respect that they share that Jess finally admits to later on as he grows up, in season 4 and later, season 6.

It also seems that Jess opens up to Luke more than he does Rory, because Luke pushes him. (like gets him to tell Luke where he got the black eye etc)

So because I like their relationship so much, I wanted to share a picspam of one of my favorite scenes.

that picspam is great thanks for sharing them, does anyone else think this that if there was another season that out of no where jess would come to the diner and help luke out in return for helping jess out ?for some reason it keep comming to my head.

Oh, I'd love to think so, yeah. Jess already paid Luke back, which I thought was so great of him to do. If Luke needed help with something, it'd be great to see him show up in Stars Hollow again out of the blue.

I agree. Luke & Jess ended with a great relationship. It's so disappointing that they never had any (witnessed) contact during season 7. They were both at a good point in their relationship and we should have seen more. Just another thing we can blame on losing Amy.
