They are talking about honking at people who have those bumper stickers that say to honk and that the people don’t really like to get honked at…Emily knows about Luke because Kirk told her. She called the inn and Kirk came on the phone and told her that she was probably at her boyfriend Luke’s house. Emily is mad that she was hiding it and Lorelai says she wasn’t hiding it. Emily is mad that she kept it from her. She wants to meet him in the boyfriend way…unless he is insignificant, in which case she doesn’t. She asks if he is insignificant and Lorelai says no he isn’t. ravenb aka Laura said bwah! kirk cheers for that heather kirk iamofthesky said SQUEEEE!!! But how did Lorelai say "no, he isn't". Defensively? Dreamily? Matter-of-factly? Honestly? And did Emily have a smug look on her face? | Rory is at the newspaper and says that she has an inside source on her story. Doyle is pleased. Lane is working at Luke’s and Zack comes by to set a time for them to get together…but they can’t pick a day and decide to figure it out later. Lane is all smiles. Lorelai says she has a black cloud over her head because her mom wants to have dinner with her and Luke. Luke doesn’t see the big deal. He wants to just get it over with, meeting with the parents. He says to book it. Luke says that he won’t change his mind. She calls (in the diner with her cell phone and he doesn’t say anything…) Luke says “this is a house??” When they arrive. He is in awe. She says she wants him to drink a lot because it is his only defense against Emily. Lorelai is freaking out a little. Luke introduces himself to the maid. She introduces him to her mom and she insists he call her Emily…she is very nice and wants to give Luke a tour. Lorelai wants to go get drinks and luke says he doesn’t need a tour. Her house is beautiful Lorelai is pouting on the couch. She offers luke a beer and Lorelai says maybe she should let him choose his own... Emily asks about the diner. She thought it was charming and rustic. Emily goes to check on dinner. Luke says Lorelai is acting crazy, she says Emily is acting crazy. He says she is reading way to much intio this and luke says that she is making him nervous. He says he can handle this. She asks if he is recently divorced…he says yes. Rory goes back to her dorm…message from dean canceling their date for the day after tomorrow and wants to meet the next day for a little while. She gets a note on her window from the secret society with some kind of sash and a letter in it. My comp is being reallly slow...next segment in a sec! | |||
