It's such a change from being able to watch S1-S6 episodes over and over again. Now I can barely go 10 minutes without wanting to scream.

ASP should have never left or the show should have never gone on without her.

I remember that while watching the first episode of S7, I wondered if the writers were trying too hard to make Lorelai and Rory's dialogue "fast" and "quirky." Even for someone who knows nothing about TV dialogue, I could always tell that GG's dialogue was unique--super-fast and full of pop culture references--but I think before, it never interfered with character or plot development. Whereas in the first episodes of Season 7, I think I remember noticing what you're talking about--some of the dialogue felt like it was for show or ornamentation rather than flowing naturally. I think Amy Palladino must just think or speak or something in that kind of dialogue, that's why it works when she writes it...but not so much when other people try to mimic her. So yeah, I see why you might find it hard to make it through the episodes. But seriously, you have to make it through French Twist! (That has a whole lot of C/L scenes, so it shouldn't be too hard.

)

Hmm, and the fact that I am analyzing dialogue is a good sign for my now half-complete fanfic!

If anyone wants to read a new C/L fic, check this thread over the next few days. I actually think I might get it done this week! (It only took me about two and a half months since I came up with the idea...

)

I hope it's worth the wait!

I go and post stuff about finishing this fic soon because it's the only way I can make sure I'm actually going to write it (because then other people hold me to account for it!) and then, of course, I go get busy and have no time. But Christmas busyness is a good kind of busy.

ANYWAY, I am still planning to finish this fic soon! (Really!)

Okay, 7.03. Best episode EVER?

Well, maybe not but OMG. Chris and his speech? Gave me chills. David nailed it, he nailed it. He looked so sincere, and Chris was such a grown up about it which I think left Lorelai stunned because she was being so wishy washy and Chris took a stand.

Oh man, I loved it sooooooo much. Plus the rest of the episode was actually great as well. I'll be rewatching this a few times.

ROCKSTAR, I loved Chris' speech in 7.03, too. It was perfect and David Sutcliffe did an amazing job.

7.03 is one of those episodes that I love as a whole not just for C/L or R/L moments everything about it just clicks. Chris speech gets me everytime

David Sutcliffe totally nailed the ache of being in love with someone who won't reciprocate, and I loved that Chris was willing to walk away from Lorelai rather than try to be friends on her terms while secretly hoping for more. I felt so sorry for him, too, that he had most likely spent the intervening weeks since they slept together analyzing and re-analyzing that night and wondering if he was crazy to believe that Lorelai still had feelings for him.

I agree with everything.

I almost stood up and clapped when he turned around and walked away from her. Not because he left, but because it meant he was ready and he wasn't playing around.
