I started rewatching S7 yesterday

I saw the first four episodes. I love them getting together and Chris' special date

Only watched the first episode. It started out great but then it got heavy and people talking too fast, too much going on, too many people, etc, etc.

I was physically tired after it.

I LOVED Chris asking her to go to his house, that he would make dinner.

He was trying to be sweet and not seem desperate I guess. Soooo adorable.

It's funny how mellow he is compared to his younger self in earlier seasons. It's cute.

My favorite part of 7.01 is when Chris kisses Lorelai on the shoulder.

Oh, I think that's my favourite part too! Also the unsure look on Lorelai's face when she tells Chris "I don't think it should happen again..."

I'm finding the episodes so hard to get through! I finished 7.02 and I don't know how to start with the next one. I will just watch the CL scenes because everything else, while okay, is so heavy and cakey. I don't know, I can't sit still watching it.

It's like a whole different show. So yup, only CL scenes for now or at this pace, I'll never get to French Twist.

It's such a change from being able to watch S1-S6 episodes over and over again. Now I can barely go 10 minutes without wanting to scream.

ASP should have never left or the show should have never gone on without her.

I approve of your plan!

I found that in S7, a lot of individual scenes worked, but the whole picture was a mess. The dialogue was really flat, too. I think it's impossible to write like Amy Sherman-Palladino, but despite trying really hard, the new writers rarely sounded like the real thing. I felt there was a lot of varying quality, too, given that there was no longer one single voice controlling the writing.
