Thanks for the deleted scene, tazzded!
I'm glad they kept it out of the episode.

Thanks for the new thread, lancer!

BTW, reading the title on that boxed set: "The Complete Series" feels so wrong - the series still doesn't feel complete to me .... and the way it ended, I doubt it ever will.

actually, me too. It was good to see it, but i didn't like the way it was showed. I mean it just didn't match the way show was made. It might be more of a technical thing but still... Lorelai showed in a slow motion was just way to cheesy

Thanks for the new thread and the deleted scene.

Boy the episode was bad enough and that scene wouldn't have made a difference. The townie stuff was ok and everybody turning against Taylor like always but the dopey family driving by That was such a bad shot and is it just me or did it feel halfheartedly I mean if they wanted to show how Lorelai was thinking about the town, what was going on and what she is missing right now they should have focused more on her face and give it another expression. Luke's reaction wasn't any better. Oy what a bad scene.

oh yeah and dopey smirking at the backround as if parading his trophy in town. It was good it didn't made it to the episode. It was bad enough as it was.

Thanks for the new thread craig and for the deleted scene tazzded.

Thank you tazzded for uploading the scene, now I can say I've watched every scene of GG! But I also agree that it was a bad scene. I mean it was lame (Morey!) and not funny. And Lorelai in the car? What kind of expression was that on her face? She loves these people altough she seems uninterested by the firelight and the participants. Normally she would have stopped the car or streched her head out of the window.

I don't feel that we've had proper closure either. But I feel that even if they make a GG movie, it wouldn't help. I'd still want more.

There will be some who will disagree with me, but keep in mind that I'm a huge LL fan. If they decide to make this movie, it would be okay with me to keep the focus off Rory so much. It would be nice to see what's going on with her life, but if she doesn't want to put in the time for a movie, maybe she can do phone calls, or brief appearances.

Or hell, maybe they can do flashbacks from unseen or deleted scenes. That could come in handy when they are showing LL's baby growing up.

I think that it doesnt matter how they ended it, a fan always want more...I also think its hard ending a drama comedy but they did an ok job. A movie wont make that much diffrence

I bought Season 7 but then I got the complete series (the so called doll house) so Ive given all my other box sets away

Thank you so much for the deleted scene, Daisy!!

I'm also glad they cut it. I don't know .. it felt weird. Like everything in season 7, it felt ..blah. Luke was talking to Taylor as if they were friends, and he was just trying to make him see that a bonfire was a good thing. Not like the cranky Luke that he always was with an urge to kill Taylor because of his stupid ideas. I missed rant and grumpy Luke, but this season he seemed to be gone or lacking the energy. And at first he almost seemed lost in the middle of all the townies, but not in a "I miss Lorelai" kind of way, in a "I will just stand here" kind of way. And then Lorelai's face showed up, and what was that? It didn't feel like a "I miss my town and I wanna be there with them" expression, but more of a "Oh cute. A bonfire. I wonder what's for dinner tonight." expression. And then Dopey had to show his stupid grin ...
It was poorly done. Bad direction. It could have been a great idea if it was well done, but no ... like all season 7, it lacked quality. JMO

I agree.

It's not about wanting more, just because we're fans and thus we will always want more, but about wanting a good ending for your favorite show, with closure, not a last minute kiss and a "yes, mom, I will come to FND like I did for the last 7 years" to show they'll be fine.

Thanks everyone

As I said at the end of the last one I liked most of the scene but ironically the part I didn't like was the end, if felt forced and not a natural flow, it chopped from Luke and April to Luke looking at Lorelai too quickly, it needed a few more seconds, maybe a shot of just the car driving by before Luke saw it. And it would have been so much better if Lorelai had seen Luke, which IMO she didn't.

I think it could have only added to the ep (if done right) to show the different worlds they were in. Lorelai who has been a part of the town for most of her life moving on while Luke has grown to accept his part in the town by organising the bonfire. It would also make the BV party more realistic to show he now does 'townie' things. And only with drew from that when Mr&Mrs Dopey came back and he was kinda pushed aside.

Plus the fact it had townies and a mention of the firelight festival!

Maybe they'll come out with a BlueRay or HD-DVD version one day?
