I thought the book to series adaptation was done very well. There are differences here and there (as expected), but I don't think it took away from the essence of who the characters were and the story itself.
As I was reading, I imagined the characters as they were on screen, and honestly, it was nice to relive those moments again through literature. I really enjoyed Simon and Daphne's relationship -- so it was just a nice moment to relive it in the books. I enjoyed reading Julia Quinn's writing style as well. I am typically very picky with fiction novels, and have suffered enough reading through John Green and Stephanie Meyer books in my younger days __________________

oh wow, I didn't know Julia has published so many books! She really is a terrific writer! I'm looking forward to the rest of the series, and I would definitely be open to reading other books from her!
