I feel like I am the Eloise among my extended family. My family is very old fashioned, and expect me to already have a boyfriend and plan to marry and have children. I'm over here single and repeatedly telling them I do not need to be married to feel complete lol

Eloise spoke to me in so many ways.

I feel you there Angie! I am the only single person in my family too. Whenever I go shopping with my Mom and we pass the baby clothes section she always looks at them and just glares at me.

I just that Eloise felt that she could be herself and stay single in a time when that was frowned upon for woman.

I think my mother has finally OK with me having a child out of wedlock if it means she gets a grandchild.

I do wonder how the show plans to have Eloise start writing to Phillip, honestly I forget how their first correspondent starts in the books. And we see her writing him letters or at least receiving letters that she is secret about in the show.

Like Marina visits with Phillip? Or Pen and Eloise go and see her? Phillip and Eloise start up a friendship and when Marina is gone, Eloise writes a condolences to him on her lost and they strike up a friendship through letters?
