OT Thread #6 The Thread About Nothing

Believe it or not there's life outside of Shiri. To start the new thread off I figured we could list some more of your favorites. Here is the link back to the old thread. OT #5 - New thread new things to talk about

Actor/Actress?

Movies?

Last movie you saw?

Last concert you saw?

Bands/Artists?

Foods?

Places to visit?

Role Model?

Name one person you would like to spend 24hrs with? They can be dead or alive

Anything else you can come up with?

If it makes you fell any better I got a parking ticket. The last time I went into NYC I parked my car in town on a side street. I do it all the time. However I forgot to read the sign that said no parking between X hour on X day and sure enough there was a ticket on my car waiting for me when I returned.

In other news on Thursday & Friday 7/31 & 8/1 I will be seeing the Counting Crows in concert back 2 back. I can’t wait. If only the ticket prices & gas were cheaper I would hit up the whole East Coast portion of the tour.

If you did not already know the Crows are currently on tour with Maroon 5 & Sara Bareilles all summer/early fall. I have not seen Maroon 5 or Sara Bareilles in concert before so I am willing to give them a try however I am not a fan of their music. The stuff I heard on hte radio all sounds the same. Like the Clash said should I stay or should I go now? Should I spend more time in the parking lot tailgating with my friends or come late to the show or should I leave early and beat the traffic home or should I stay and give the other bands a try and maybe enjoy the rest of the music or what should I do? Help!

Thatnks for the heads up Mr G.

The following is a music recommendation for anyone that likes Singer songwriter’s, folk music, storytellers or just good music. I highly recommend you check this guy out. For $10 you can't go wrong.

The first of many solo albums yet to come from singer/songwriter Tyler Stenson, See That Gleam is a twelve track journey through the years and continents under the sun. This ballad filled tale will feed the soul and offer a calming sweetness that everyone seeks but few shall find.

I just wanted to let you all know that you can officially buy Tyler Stensons solo debut album at the following link.
Tyler Stenson — See That Gleam

I own that movie. I think it's the worst JB movie I've seen. Not that it was his fault, his acting was fine. But the people behind the movie really butchered it and didn't know how to tell a story. Everything is rushed and chopped together. It's not smooth at all and makes for a uncomfortable viewing. I still can't believe they spent as much money as they did on that movie, you can't tell. But Jason is good in it, same acting and yummy looks.

No wonder it ended up on the SciFi channel. The don't exactly have the best movies there - I loved Shiri in Darklight but it wasn't a great movie.

Lilith could have been a great series.

Yeah. I love Darklight too but wasn't Darklight made for SciFi? I remember we weren't expecting much because of that and ended up really pleased with it. DWar wasn't made for SciFi. I remember the director saying at the time that it would kick the new King Kong movies butt. Boy I bet he regrets saying that. And I mean no offense to Jason. You could tell the foreign director had no idea about what americans like to see. You barely saw Jason or any of the other actors in the trailors which was really weird.

But I came in here to say that dang beeping ad is driving me !

I've watched 20 minutes (mixed in with jumps ovr to check up on the Sox game) and it has all the flavor of a "made for SciFi" movie.

Eric - what do you think of the new REM album? I like some of it but I really hate when producers shift the presence midway through a song - you go from feeling like you're in an auditorium to having the guitar player sitting right next to you. Over production at work!
