That album is very good however aside my radio station I listen to WFUV 90.7 FM Public Radio from Fordham University in New York City no radio station in NY plays Travis. Which is a complete shame because Travis is such a great band? You can listen to my radio station online from anywhere in the world thanks to live streaming audio. BTW I read a post on IMDB by someone who said they spotted Zach and Shiri at a Travis concert in NYC a few weeks ago. The show was at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza which is a small standing room only club with a balcony and a small VIP section. They said they could not tell if they went as friends or a couple.

That's where I saw Lifehouse in concert last year. Everyone was packed in there like sardines. It was worth it though. The show was awesome.

The last time I was Irving Plaza was for a Hurricane relief benefit show that Jesse Malin put on. It was an awesome show except for the fact that I was standing right next to the speakers and practically went deaf. Aside from Jesse who climbed up into the balcony during the song Wendy the bill also featured Ryan Adams, David Jo Hanson, Marah, Debby Harry and others. There was supposed to be a special guest, which never made it on stage due to the fact that the show went past curfew and they turned on the house lights and cut the show. I later heard it was supposedly Michael Stipe from R.E.M. I also missed the last train back to LB that night and it completely sucked. They do pack the place in like sardines. The Hammerstein Ballroom does that as well.

Back in the day the Counting Crows opened up for the band Cracker at Irving Plaza. They even got to come out a due an encore. Which is rare for an opening band. Someone in the audience happened to be a big shot at SNL and signed them up as musical guest and the rest is history.

Tell me about it! I was there for a dancehall/reggae show a couple years ago and literally couldn't move much less dance. It was fun just to be there though.

Back when Shrek 2 came out The Counting Crows did this show at the Hammerstein Ballroom. It was a radio/Fan club show. My self and all of my Crow friends camped out all day way before everyone. Some of my friends flew in from out of town just for the show. Once they started putting up the barricades they told us we were standing in the wrong spot so we moved. Then we had to move again. And by the time they started letting people in they told us that the fan club members had to enter on the other side. We were so pissed because everyone who just arrived had already gone in and claimed there spot. Once I got in I was only one person behind the stage so I was pretty close. Out of nowhere this big biker chick walked passed me. She told me to move it and then gave me a dirty look. She was drunk and scary. She almost kicked the crap out of me just because I was standing in her way. She tried to make her way up front cutting in front of everyone who camped out all day. The security guard flashed his light on her and she ran away like a scardy cat. My friend Reefy who lives in Key West had a shirt on that said premature evacuator. The band stopped the show at one point to talk about it. It was very funny.

On another occasion I was at the Hammerstein Ballroom for you guest it a Counting Crows show. Jimmy Fallen opened up the show. He was so funny. Anyway being that I am a shorty I could not see a thing because I was samwhiched in-between a bunch of tall people so I moved to the back where I could breath and got to meet Jimmy Fallen who was hanging out in the back. He was mad cool.

I took my mom to her first Crows show at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Being that I took my mom I opted for the seats in the balcony so she did not have to stand the whole time. Being that the seats are GA you can sit anywhere. My mom found these nice two seats and proceeded to sit down when she was told they were reserved for the Olsen Twins. So we had to find new seats. How Rude! Looking back on it now it’s kind of funny. BTW on a sort of side not there is an episode of Full House about the Counting Crows. It’s classic.
