I was working a job in LA once and flying out of Boston I was sitting in 1st class waiting for the plane to depart. The pilot told us they were holding the plane for a special passenger... suddenly Jim Carrey comes onboard and sits down next to me! I spent 5 hours sitting next to him and I only spoke three times

He was in Rhode Island filming "Me, Myself and Irene"

Yeah, I have to say, flying from LA to NY does have its advantages. I think I've had more celebrity sightings on planes and airports than anywhere else. But sitting next to Jim Carrey? Now that is quite impressive.

Sam was as hot in RL as he is on screen. Too bad he wasn't on my flight.

That’s so awesome. Jim Carrey is hysterical. He was great on In Living Color.

I once saw Joan Rivers, Elvis Costello and his Wife Diana Krall and Mathew Fox in the airport. It was on my trip to Vegas a few years ago. Elvis and his wife Diana were at JFK buying a newspaper and some other magazines before their flight to who knows where. They took some photos and signed a few autographs. I just watched from afar. Mathew Fox ran into the bookstore also at JFK wearing a leather jacket and sunglasses. He bought something and left real quickly. I managed to notice him. Joan Rivers was on my flight back form Vegas to NY. She looked scary. Her face did not move at all. She was also very tiny and rude. She kept yelling at people in her annoying Jewish voice to move out of the way. She had to board the plane first because she was in first class and famous.

Noted as well. He was in and out of the bookstore so quick I would not have even had a chance. What up with people wearing sunglasses inside? Mathew Fox may have done it to hide his identity but I know average Joe’s like my cousin who thinks it’s cool to wear them inside.

I am so jealous because my uncle just got back from Florida and said that the weather at his beach house was in the 90’s all week. It’s cold and nasty in NY.

I have some long awaited baby news. This past weekend I got to meet my niece for the first time. While it was still through the glass it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. A week prier I got the news that she was going to have surgery which went great. The Doctors did an amazing job. Shortly after her surgery she was taken off all of the machines and started breathing on her own and eating like a real baby. She then gained some weight and was given the ok have some visitors. Seeing her in person is unreal. Pictures only do so much. She’s really starting to fill out and looks like a real baby. Shortly after I left I got another phone call from my sister letting me know that if all goes well (Fingers crossed) she may come home this Wednesday. It’s been a long 3 crazy mounts. I am beyond excited. Sammy is a super strong miracle baby.

I've just never read one nice fan encounter about him. As recently as two days ago he completely ignored two girls that were watching him film in Hawaii.

Eric, I'm so happy to hear your niece can breath on her own and she's gaining weight! Just maybe she'll be able to go home for Christmas.

Great news indeed. It's been a long journey. If everything goes according to plan (Fingers Crossed) my niece will be home on Wednesday. I can’t believe I am finally going to get to hold her and do all the things a real uncle does. I can’t wait to close this chapter in my family’s life and start a new one.
