I have always wanted to work at a music store. I eat breath and sleep music. I love discovering new music before commercial radio catches on. No disrespect to top 40 radio or anyone that listens to it but it is also not my cup of tea. The most top 40 band I listen to is the Counting Crows who aside from a handful of hits are not that radio friendly. Anyone that makes music has more talent then I will ever have. Even though Shiri has said she is completely tone def she probably 100X more talented then I will ever be. Walkaways By The Counting Crows Gotta rush away she said I've been to Boston before Anyway, this change I've been feeling Doesn't make the rain fall No big differences these days Just the same old walkways Someday I'm going to stay, but not today.. __________________

I thought maybe it was something from "Enuff Z'Nuff" - but if it is it wasn't on their album.

Rogue Traders are an Australian band fronted by a former soapie star. They had a few hits here and also trying to make it big in the UK. Voodoo Child was their first single and that features a lot of drums ... os Rogue Traders Official Site

Anytime I was quite surprised to see them mentioned here. Their music is ok, but they played it so much here that you can get a bit sick of it.

There was a euro-tech band that did a song in 2000/2001 called "Around the World". I think the band was called "A Touch of Class". They did a few versions of it - one was a folksy version with a drum break. This might be the song - unfortunately I haven't found an MP3 of it. Also it was used in a commercial - I can't remeber which one.
