I'm excited to see how this mother-daughter relationship plays out.

I love that Shiri is taller than Brit, granted it's only like 1/2" according to IMDb. The two look great together. Although when I see them I imagine them as sisters. It might take me a few moments to see them as mother-daughter. I'm sure after the show starts it'll be easier to accept. I love that the two get along so well off screen, you just know it's going to make for great chemistry on screen. I can't wait for the season premiere...it won't be long now!

I was just going to say that. I totally agree. I think there will be some tension between them.

That's really hard (never having thought of keeping the baby) but it's like a detail.
She abandoned her, for all the reasons of the world, but the feeling of not being wanted it'll be determinant in the relationship!!
And Shiri will be the witch of the tale for a long time. With Baze she will have not problem, but with Cate...they'll bite each other.

Even if, as you say Blackened Sky,

they are in a good place by the end of the pilot. There is no way that will last. Once they move in together, their relationship is bound to get more complicated.

Without any knowledge of what is to come on the series, I would assume things will be very rocky, if for no other reason than Cate does not seem the "motherly" type. She has no experience raising a child, and now she is going to be raising a teenager-- which is arguably harder b/c teens tend to rebel. Add in the fact that LUX seems pretty independent to begin with...there is just no way these two are going to get along.
