Yeah I do understand her not trusting him. He spent so much time hunting them down. Plus the fact that someone from the Fire Nation killed her mother. Those are big things to get past.

Yes! So many reasons for her to build walls including how he was on the side that almost killed Aang. And that was right after she had been ready to heal him.

That must have been a major betrayal of her trust! They were actually getting close in the caves, then he immediately does a 180 (side note: I'm really excited to rewatch that episode). It makes sense that she would have a hard time forgiving that.
