Oh man, Iroh was truly what Zuko needed in his life. Iroh and Ursa were the main reason why Zuko turned out so wonderful and I can never be grateful enough.

I think a very bitter adult who didn't see any other options for himself. To be honest, I don't think Zuko would be alive without him. He was exhiled at age 13 and put on a boat to complete a mission that was at that point literally pointless.

I think people often forget that because Aang did come back. Zuko was literally sent on a futile mission when he was 13. Ozai's the worst.
