It was quite a story. It was late 2017 when i first moved to Ireland. I was apartment hunting at the time. After what felt like an interview, the landlord said "yes" and invited me to a farewell party for the girl whom i'll be taking over her room in the shared house. The landlord also lives in the house (located in county Wicklow where The Vikings is filmed) and decided to invite some of his friends. It just so happens that one of them works on the makeup for the show.

side note: I didn't end up moving in because landlord changed his mind the day after the party. there was no confrontation or anything during the party but i suspected some "backstab" from one of the other girls.
