The coma would have been ideal. I mean, the others couldn't stand Henry,but did you see how upset they were? He died to protect them, even if they were technically antagonists.

Yeah I did ... I check out all his stuff and I am just upset in general. ISA are bad people however them killing their own kids that easily? That really just made Henry Sr. have zero redeemping qualities. As bad as Icicle is, I don't think he's killing his son and we already see the loving relationship he has with his son... where I guess with Brainwave, their relationship was never good.

I would've preferred the coma at least we know he will comeback... I am trying to keep hope until we get a full confirmation in the next episode but with all the interviews and everything, my hope has been crashed.

But that would be a complete underutilization of his character given his role in the comics.

I don't think The Dragon King/Ito would kill Cindy. The Magician loved Joey and wanted to avenge him. Only Henry Sr. was willing to kill his kid. The Dragon King may or may not have cared about his wife, but Icicle loved his. Henry Sr. truly is a monster.

I know first hand how at times these shows go completely different from the comics.

Issue with Henry possible death is how much potential he had that just got thrown out the window...
It was a lot left to explore so this makes no sense to me.

I read an article reviewing the show and it compared it to Game of Thrones. I think it’s extreme, but even Arrow wouldn’t kill off so many characters in the first season. But the fact that it’s father/son is what’s disgusting people. My dad watches it if he’s eating and he was shocked. The whole parent/child thing made him question the show. It seemed light and typical the few times he saw it.

If it was Riverdale, I would shrug. Everyone on that show has issues. But on this show, the only kid who’s really dark is Cindy. The only lunatic is Brainwave. The other parents may be crappy(excluding Icicle), but they won’t kill them. Ito could have killed Cindy, but he imprisoned her instead. I’m sniffling just typing this.

I wonder if part of it was angst for Courtney. Henry was her last link to her dad. She’s the one who talked Henry into doing the right thing. He chose to die saving his cousin and a girl he used to love.

What an amazing guy.

Henry story arc is just pretty incredible. What they managed to do with him in 10 episodes... wow.
