They were however in the same season together and even the same episode before, but they never got to have any scene together unfortunately.

I didn't watch Supergirl.
 I only heard that he and Teri were on the show. I gave up on the CW Arrowverse shows a long time ago.__________________

I wonder if maybe they weren't allowed to use other comic characters, so they just made up some character and gave them a name from the comics.
