[I'm Not Dead]

Hi everyone

Fan Forum recently introduced a new feature which enables moderators to "tag" specific threads with key words which will hopefully make it easier in the future for new posters to find boards and threads which are of interest to them.

This is a really helpful tutorial made by Haylie (Lexipedia) on how to tag:

This is to help anyone that's confused on how to tag.



When starting a new thread at the bottom of where you post the opening posts you have the tags type in your tags, if you want to use more than one tag remember to use a comma.



If you want to add tags to a thread that are already made or already has tags look for the tag feature box at the bottom of the thread and then all the way to the right is the edit tags



While adding a tag you will see this (using the example abc) for this print screen you will get an auto complete. After you tag click save changes.

Also, if you need a tag that isn't created you can PM the moderators of that board.

I definitely agree with you there on the tags.

Glad you like them.

I've done a quick run through most threads in the board guide, but more will probably be added in future. A lot of other boards are still in the process of implementing tags, so at the moment you may not find as many search results as you will in future.

Haylie (Lexipedia) created a very helpful tutorial on tagging for anyone who is still unsure about the process. I highly recommend that you read it.

I don't know. I just assumed we leave them tagged so that past threads can be archived and made easier to access for new posters who want to find old threads quickly.

No.
Leave them because if you look at the tag cloud you see some words that stand out more, if you untag closed threads that will lower the number of said tag and eventually not stand out.
