| Hey everyone! Happy early Valentine's Day! No better news than 4-6 new ER episodes this season--woohoo! Here's a blurb from this morning's VARIETY with slightly more info on that and maybe another season? ... *** The Peacock is contractually obligated to produce more "ER" segs this season, and it seems likely at least four to six of those will air starting in April. The net is also said to be in talks with Warner Bros. TV about a reduction in "ER's" license fee that would allow the show to return for another season in the fall. *** a glimmer of hope that the reela saga might continue beyond this season??? | |||

| Here's some news on the fate of ER straight from the horse's mouth a.k.a Ben Silverman. NBC Reconsiders Plans for ER and Scrubs - TV Decoder - Media & Television - New York Times Blog So, it looks like NBC does want to renew ER for a season 15 (if they can make a deal with WB). Given that they culled most of their pilots, that's not surprising I suppose. It does look very much like if they make a deal with WB, it will be for a full season 15. I guess I'm just wondering what that would mean for a the roomies. On the one hand, I'm glad. If there are only 4-6 episodes this season, I don't think they can have a satisfactory roomie ending at all and a season 15 would be good. On the other hand, Neela's been in limbo for this whole season, will they keep her in limbo for another year, while waiting for Ray to return for a couple of guest spots before the series finale? Or will they let her have a little fling  and then address Ray nearer to the end of next season?In an ideal world, I would have Ray make a dramatic return in this season's finale, and they stay on as a regular in Season 15. Given their dwindling cast list - I don't see why they wouldn't want to, but I don't know if Shane would want to come back as a regular. Any thoughts? | |||

| I like the idea of having him back the end of this season and spending next season as a regular. It'd be great to see them play out some of the struggles he has to go through now, and the way his lifestyle has changed because of the accident. Ultimately, though, the decision would rest with Shane. | If they have a full season 15 and Shane decides to come back in whatever capacity, I will not be surprised if they heighten the drama(nothing unusual for primetime tv) by once again stretching out the long awaited becoming an "official couple" moment. We should definitely suspect some angst. Perhaps, Ray will reject Neela at first because of his broken heart and Neela will be the one pining and waiting(not too long I hope). Maybe, Ray would have found someone else while in Baton Rouge who he develops feelings for because she either has a similar disability as him or she is a "regular" person who accepts him for who he is. I can see a number of things that can play out over the course of a full season if Shane does indeed come back. TPTB won't let us off the hook that easy by just hooking them up quickly. You can bet your life on that. I do think a major part of his possible return would be to show some of the struggles and changes he's facing like Ash mentioned. | |||

| I am glad that we will get 4-6 more episodes of ER this season. At first, when I read that they are considering a season 15, I was a little scared that that might actually hurt the roomies- I don't know why, don't ask, it's my paranoia- but when buzzybee66 pointed out her ideal situation, I realized that a 15th season might in fact be what we need to get the story we should be getting for the Roomies. I'd say the strike being over and more episodes itself is a small goal reached to get to the bigger goal of Ray and Neela, so celebrations are in order __________________ So we lie here in the dark, all the wrong things on fire.
