Yes. I'm inclined to say if it's a parent, it'd be his mother. He spoke too fondly of his father in Quintessence of Dust, and the way he spoke about his mother in Twas the Night and then again in Scoop and Run (not to mention the death glares he was sending her in The Honeymoon's Over) was sarcastic and biting as hell. also the way he lit into the surrogate in Nobody's Baby for putting her own wants ahead of the needs of the child she was carrying. So many things about his reactions to other scenes make sense in the context of that deleted scene. Sad that they left it out.

Ash, just PMed you with the list. I agree that the deleted scene was good background, but even then, it just adds to the mystery of who Ray is. We still don't know who he's referring to, what incidents in life we was talking about---it just adds another unknown in his life

I don't like all this not knowing. lol.
But if we do get to see Ray again, perhaps if he is distant from Neela, he lets her in on his past and says something how once trust is lost, almost impossible to gain it back.

Yep, I got it. How big do you want it to be? I can work really large, if need be, but the screencaps don't usually tend to be that big unless you're working with HD eps, and I'm not. Maybe 640 x 480? Does that sound okay? My cable's out, so I'll have time later after dinner to work on it.

It definitely does not need to be that large at all. I was thinking a bit smaller than 640 by 480 actually, knowing MySpace pages, but go ahead if you'd like.

If need be, I can shrink it. Also, please add Laura to the list if you can

I was just watching City of Mercy last night... it was so nice to see an episode with a lot of Neela and Ray in it (even though they barely interacted). I hope we can look forward to seeing them together in the new year, at some point.

Man I wish the writers' strike would end. Pretty soon the entire entertainment industry is going to be a mess if they don't just settle their differences (and by that, I mean, give the writers what they freakin' want!!!!).
