A message on Shane's myspace sounds great. Perhaps lovebird can post another on like last time. This time maybe she can put "Neela and Ray need a happy ending" or maybe "Everyone wants Ray back on ER". Any other suggestions?

I like either one of those. We need to have somebody come up with a series of messages and maybe all of us vote on what message we want to put on his myspace and then have one person post the message so we would all be able tell him how much we miss Ray on the show and that we want a happy ending for Ray and Neela but not have a whole bunch of messages that would only annoy him. What do you think?

I think one message from the group sounds like a good idea. Maybe we can have a few people PM lovebird with comments and she can copy and paste them into one message and leave a link to the thread here or the board so he can come and check it out for himself if he wants to read more comments on it. What do you guys think?

One message from everyone sounds like a good idea - either elsa or the person running the savereela myspace page could hopefully send it.

Perhaps we could send it as a Christmas or New Year greeting, coupled with our message of how much we want him back!

ETA: I was just on his myspace and one of the songs he has on his playlist is the song that was playing when Ray was leaving town in last seasons finale, Hallellujah by Jeff Buckley. I thought that was cool when I saw it. Maybe he is trying to tell his fans something or he just likes the song?

Thanks. I just learned how to make minimovies, so I've been playing around with some.

And I don't necessarily think Hallelujah on his playlist is a message for his fans; the song is a classic and Buckley's version is the most popularly played and most well-known, which is probably why ER chose it, and also probably why he did. But it's nice to dream, huh?

Yes, definitely one group message sounds good. Because I do think he'd be annoyed if we blew up his myspace with a bunch of messages. We could all sign it or something.

Yeah, that sounds like a great idea. Maybe we could design a holiday graphic that has Ray and Neela in it, thanking him for being Ray, and also hoping he'll return. Then people could sign. I can send out a bulletin on the boards, asking for sigs as well, so more than a couple of people can sign it. Someone may have to make a graphic with the message tho, given my oh so sad skills

Yeah. but one graphic from the group is a good idea, so he doesn't get overwhelmed or annoyed with messages.

Thanks for the offer. I think it'll be nice to say 4 things:
1. Happy Holidays
2. Thanks for doing such a great job as Ray,
3. We hope Ray will be back on the show
4. We hope Ray/Neela get their happy ending.

Obviously, there should be a more elegant way to phrase all of that...we need an author, lol.
And we can have Ray/Neela pics as well

And then as for the names, we can have individual names and Save Reela as well. I can post it from our MySpace. It would be nice to have Save Reela faded in the background and people's names on top...

How about this: We want to wish you and your family a Happy Holidays and to thank you for doing such a wonderful job as Ray Barnett on ER. We hope you will return to the show soon and that Ray and Neela have their happy ending.

Maybe something like that would work on top of a banner with Save Reela on it and a list of names of people that submit their names for the message, like you suggested.
