| ER/UGLY BETTY FAN: You're added. Welcome to the thread. Ashlali: Oh, I definitely would be in line to drive.  Would that Ray had run him over in "City of Mercy". We were so close. And thanks for the clarification on the "Love Story" thing. I've never liked that movie. Bores me to tears and I've never subscribed to that sentiment. I still think Abby got off way too light in making amends for her wrongs. The 'Love Story' is just another romance in the long line of tragedies which make up the greatest 'love stories' ever starting with Shakespeare. (I'm sorry i just had a flashback of the 'Blackaddder episode where Rowan Atkinson's character punches Will Shakespeare played by the divine Colin Firth, saying that's from all the school kids of the future.) Classic! Romeo & Juliet, Anthony & Cleopatra etc. I've never prescribed to the theory that people have to die for it to be a great love story. | I hate to come on just for a whinge but... just watched Dream house. God! What happened the writers after s12. It can't be all you know who. Ray was soooo funny in that epi. paraphrasing here but "men named Hank" "probably got it off another rock star...with a recording contract" I miss funny Ray so much. I know this is probably not cool to say but as far as the er writers specifically are concerned they probably really need dvd sales money or what ever it is because I don't see major performance based bonuses coming their way from s13 and 14. I mean Harold and the plastic vagina, a camel. Do I need to say anymore? | |||

Can you imagine after all the great chemistry the characters of Neela and Ray have had over the years, that they would end Neela's arc with barely a mention of Ray? I don't think that's the ending they want. I'm really curious what possible ending Zabel and Co. have in mind for some of the "ideas" they have for Ray's return. Clearly the most important element to that return(at least in terms of fan satisfaction) would be a happy ending with Neela. Zabel's bold statement that he's sure Shane would come back given a good storyline makes me feel that they are playing Russian Roulette with Neela's character. They probably have at least 2 or 3 different possible scenarios for her story arc to end. At this point, with all the hockey, potty training of Harold, Godfather/Officer and A Gentleman impersonations, camel swabbing, etc., who knows where they're going to take this now unrecognizable character. | |||

| As long as they don't take her to Grossman... which so far seems like they won't, but with these writers... you never know. I think Morris is the only character they've not thrown into too serious a relationship throughout their run (besides Hope, of course). It's like they NEED all the main cast members to be shacked up with someone. Well, if they want Neela with someone, it sure as heck better end up being Ray, or I'll be hopping up and down mad like a thirsty camel! __________________ my favorite dreams of you still wash ashore scraping through my head 'til i don't want to sleep anymore SLA?
