Haven't seen this clip-- This is where Neela is working at the Hot dog place and Abby comes in. I think it was when she was going through whether she wanted to go to do medical or not. I love how we saw her working randomly at one store and place to another. hehe..

Oh God, that was hilarious. But I think my favorite scene with her at the Jumbomart is when Ray and Abby see her in 11.3, with that ridiculous Statue of Liberty hat, lol. I rolled when I saw it.

I watched I Do and I must say that the Gallant and Neela relationship, as cute and admirable as it was, never was very convincing. I noticed a great discomfort between both Neela and Gallant the entire episode, even during the happy scenes they shared. I think it came from the knowledge that they didn't really know each other. They clearly felt a connection and attraction between one another, but they had no business getting married and I think both of them realized that. I listened carefully to Gallant's conversation with Pratt and then his speech to Neela when she was in the OR with Dubenko. I got the sense that the war and all the dying and suffering he saw sort of influenced his outlook on life and made him feel that happiness was something so fragile and fleeting that if you don't grab it while you have the chance, you may lose out on it forever. I think that belief more than anything motivated him to rush into a marriage with a woman he barely knew beyond several letters and e-mails along with one night of intimacy.

I think Neela was always concious of how bad this idea was. She voiced concern to Abby as well on quite a few occasions. In the episode Here and There where she expressed her confusion on how she could have developed any feelings for someone who she only writes letters to. Then in I Do Abby was concerned that Neela didn't know Gallant well enough to make such a major decision. Neela thought about it and seemed bothered by it all day. She clearly had second thoughts. Finally, in the episode Split Decisions when Gallant decided to go back to Iraq and Neela was angry with him, she told him that they barely even know each other; in a sense, admitting that the marriage was a mistake. I remember when they were on the train at the beginning of I Do and Gallant asked Neela "You love me, right?" Neela kinda hesitated for a second and said yes. I don't doubt that she believed she loved Michael, but the vibe she gave was like uncertainty about the whole situation. They were just beginning to establish a relationship with one another beyond just letters to one another and now all of a sudden she was being asked not only if she was in love but also to get married. Too fast too soon.

The 1997 Lazy Interview with Mindi sleeping was cute by the way!!
