It did surprise me that Susan barely (ever?) referenced Mark from Season 9 onwards. A big deal was made of Elizabeth's grief (understandably) but I can't off-hand recall Susan ever acknowledging Mark in Seasons 9-11, except for telling Elizabeth that he would have wanted her to move on.

I doubt he just called her out of nowhere. Speaking about Elizabeth doing nothing after Mark died...well ER had so many lead actors over the years so they could've done something with her.I think she left because writers and producers already knew than Noah would go soon and they just wanted new generation of actors to take off. |
