Crazy to think of them being so stable for so long. L/A are sitting thinking:

I had this brief epiphany this morning, while pondering the LA Times live chat she's doing, that if one were to ask Maura where she thought Abby and Luka were now, she'd probably say something like "they're divorced" or "she killed him and buried his body behind the ER."
I mean, you know she would. She's never going to give us some crap about sunshine and rainbows. So no one ever ask, okay? __________________

Wow, I wonder if all the crap that happened to them over the years was her idea

She does seem like she'd find torturing Abby amusing. I don't think she'd have the same emotional attachment that we do.

I agree. She did beg for them to kill off Abby when she left.

She said it mostly in jest (I hope) but she said it a lot in her last season. It's just her dark, wicked sense of humour.

How depressing would that have been for Luka, having both of his wives die during the run of the show. That's too much even for ER.

I used to joke, "Grey's Anatomy would probably do that storyline..." and now the show has gone and done just that to its main couple.

Like I said on twitter, thank God Shonda never ran ER. Doug would have died of an STD, Carol would have died in the pilot, Luka would have died in some way, and Abby would drink herself to death because of that.
