I just wanted to say that I think that you’ve probably seen me at my best
and, uh, at my worst. And even tough we didn’t always see eye to eye,
you helped me go from a nurse to a med student, to a doctor ...
to a mom.

Why we love them:

1. Because Kerry was the first one to find Abby unconscious the day her son was born.
2. Because Abby was able to do a spinal tap on Henry in front of Kerry.
3. Because Kerry asked Abby to be Henry's legal guardian.
4. Because Abby didn't want Kerry to leave.
5. Because they have awesome chemistry.
6. Because Laura Innes wanted Kerry and Abby to get together. So did Maura Tierney.
7. Because Kerry broke down in Abby's arms when Sandy died, which is very rare.
8. Because Abby was there for Kerry when she miscarried, even offering to take her home.
9. Because Kerry helped her go from a nurse, to a med student, to a doctor, and to a mom.
10. Because being a close friend of Kerry is already a big thing.

She's probably going to grow it back now that chemo is done and she's got a new TV show. But she does suit it short.

I loved when Abby showed Weaver her ultrasound photo in Season 12.

I also loved it when Kerry asked Abby to do Henry's lumbar puncture. I mean, if it were another med student, that person would not be asked to do it on a newborn just yet. But Kerry trusted her, which probably made her calm and collected while doing the procedure.

Another moment I loved from their last scene.

Abby: I'm gonna miss you.
Kerry: Thank you.

Just the way Laura said 'Thank You' choked me up. Kerry wasn't known for making a lot of close friends at County, so what Abby said really meant a lot to her.

Aw, that picture of Laura and Maura is lovely They were great friends off-screen as well, right? How awesome to see them together again.

I just rewatched S13 and I love Kerry and Abby's goodbye talk. It was wonderful to see them become such great friends over the years, especially since I think Kerry really was a great friend to everyone, they just didn't always recognize it - but Abby did. I wish Kerry had stayed around for the rest of S13 and got to see Luka and Abby get married actually, since she was such good friends with both of them.
