Just in time (no pun intended) for this new thread, Julianna has been included on TIME Magazine's list of 100 Most Influential People. US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand had this to say:

I liked what Kirsten Gillibrand had to say about Julianna - Kirsten is one of the most delightful people I've never actually met in politics - and glad Julianna was recognized for her work on Erin's Law. There were some great pieces - RBG being celebrated by Antonin Scalia, who is an insufferable jerk as a SCOTUS Justice but I'm amused by the dichotomy of their friendship, Elizabeth Warren praised by Hillary herself, John Oliver got some kudos - but I'm completely horrified by who's not on the list - Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart.
I get that they've been noted before, but if it's actually a list of the most influential people, their omission is ridiculous. Either change it to "100 Influential People" or fire the guy who makes the list. Because Kim and Kanye are not who engaged American youth trust more than anyone for their news. They're who idiots on Twitter trust for news. Rant over. Back to cheering for Jules. |
Even though I am a huge fan, I will admit to being a bit perplexed by Julianna's inclusion on a "Most Influential" list, but if it brings some more attention to Erin's Law then I am happy.

They should give up and merge with the Baba Wawa (Barbara Walters) "most fascinating people" list. Still silly, but at least more accurate. Me...I like Foreign Policy's list of global thinkers. :sigh: |
I loved what she said about her :in_love:

Or if it was a list of 100 Influential Actors in the World, then I could understand her inclusion.

I had a dream last night that I was in a class and had some brilliant revelation that TGW was based, unintentionally or intentionally, on Macbeth. Everyone thought I was stupid, but it made perfect sense to me. The teacher somehow argued against that by saying it couldn't be Shakespearean because there was sex in Midsummer Night's Dream and CBS would never air that.
Which is obviously a flawed argument. But now I keep trying to figure out if there was logic to my Macbeth argument. Because Alicia certainly has her Lady Macbeth moments. |
I can see it. Jackie and Veronica would certainly make for natural witches. But who for the third? David Lee? :P

I need a video more than I need AIR.
I dreamed an Alicia/Kalinda goodbye scene last night. Kalinda had her hair down and they were walking side by side, holding hands. |
OMG why are you telling me this, now I can't stop picturing it, you broke my heart, are you happy now?? :bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl::bawl:
