General Survivor Thread #7 *BEST HOLIDAY EPISODE!*
Past Winners Best Doctor: Mark Greene Best Nurse: Carol Hathaway Best Couple: Doug Ross and Carol Hathaway Best Episode: Blizzard Best Exit: Carol Hathaway in 'Such Sweet Sorrow' - Following a tumultuous few months as a single mother as well as a confusing relationship with Luka and an encounter with a dying woman and her family, Carol realised that Doug is her soulmate and immediately lft to reunite with him in Seattle. Best Kiss: Doug and Carol in "Another Perfect Day" Funniest Scene: Mark and Susan plastering Carter's leg Best Friendship: Abby Lockhart and Neela Rasgotra Best Quotes: Funny - Neela: Dr. Lockhart, would you like to give a second opinion? Abby: Sure. Your ankle may be broken and you're a total bitch. Serious - Abby: Hi! I’m sorry, but don’t you think this is kind of ass? Board member: Excuse me, who are you? Abby: Abby Lockhart. I used to be a nurse in the ER, I am now an attending physician, as of today. Board member: You’ll have to be on the agenda. Abby: Yeah alright, let me break it down for you. What we do is take care of the patients that nobody else wants to deal with, alright? The homeless alcoholics, drug addicts, psychotics - all of us, especially the nurses, put ourselves at risk every day - EVERY DAY! And when the wards don’t want to go over the nurse-to-patient ratio because they want to follow the rules, guess who sucks up the surplus?! The ER does! And never mind that that means having admitted patients parked on gurneys in the hallways for days AND that our nurses have to cover three times as many patients as anybody else, we’re the safety net! We do not have the luxury of abiding by the rules because... we don’t kick patients out on the streets. So, we get creative, and yes it’s against the rules to send a patient home with an IV because worse-case-scenario, he’ll do something stupid, but... Sam Taggart is not a worse case scenario kind of person! None of us are! Because to work down there, you have to have to have some sort of faith in people and in your ability to help them! She didn’t inject the drugs into the IV! The patient did - and what would you have her do? Deny a potentially life-saving treatment because the guy maybe, might do something stupid later? I-, she’s an excellent nurse!... And she did what almost anybody else would do, and she should not be punished because a patient made a bad choice. I mean, we have SO MANY things working against us! Don’t be another one of them. *clears throat* And they all deserve a raise...Don’t make me come back here. Best Cast Shot: Season 4 Best Entrance: John Carter in "24 Hours" “It’s the first tailored white coat I’ve ever seen” - Mark, on his first impression of Carter. Best Cliffhanger: “21 Guns” (Season 12, Episode 22). Following a plot by Sam’s ex-boyfriend Steve to escape police custody, she and Alex are kidnapped while Jerry is shot, Luka is intubated, drugged and strapped to a gurney, and a heavily-pregnant Abby bleeds out unnoticed in a nearby trauma room.[/FONT] Best Chief of Staff: Robert Romano Best Chief of Surgery: Lucien Dubenko Best Chief of Emergency Medicine: Kerry Weaver Best Chief Resident: Mark Greene Best Recurring Doctor: Janet Coburn - “We all lie. I am 12 years sober and I can’t say that I know that I won’t relapse at some point, but I sure as hell believe that I won’t”. Best "Character in Action" Episode Doug Ross in "Hell and High Water" Best "Character Insight" Episode Susan Lewis - "Take These Broken Wings" - Susan attends therapy while trying to cope with losing Susie. With a 4 vote majority, I don't think there's any need to ask. Bye bye, Banfield!
Again, I can't vote. |

I'm not sure where it is. If this was Twitter, I'd be hash-tagging 'irony' right now.

Boy this is hard.
I know I couldn't vote for Abby but chosing between the others isn't easy so I just flipped coins: #1 __________________

I vote 7 because the two other scenes had me bawling like a baby.
