ER Guest Stars #1 - Because they added a little something extra to the mix

- Tina -

ER had some amazing guest stars over the years, so Tina and I think they deserve their own thread!

Just a few:

Alan Alda
Rosemary Clooney
Kirsten Dunst
Sally Field
John Leguizamo
Ray Liotta
Ewan McGregor
Cynthia Nixon
Mickey Rooney
Susan Sarandon
Forrest Whittaker
James Woods

Who was your favourite? Who didn't you like? Who would you have liked to have seen more of?

Also, if anyone has any title suggestions please go ahead. I just put in the first thing that came to mind.

ER Paper Chase

Trivia: Who was the last main cast member to receive an Emmy nomination?

Clue: Which character had the most episodes named after him/her? Go to the character’s thread.

Rosemary Clooney

I first thought she was funny, just singing in the ER. But then they found out that she has Alzheimer's or something

Ewan McGregor

I was happy to see him in ER because I really like him as an actor

Added those. Can't believe I forgot about Rosemary!

Aw, that's horrible if she had Alzheimer's. She was a great talent.

You could probably play "Six Degrees of Separation" with any Hollywood actor and link them back to ER.

Oh, no she hasn't had Alzheimer's in real life. I mean in the show

Didn't we have a thread for "Six Degrees of Separation" once?

Yeah but it was hard to keep the game moving because it was so hard.

I loved Kristen Dunst as Charlie. I was watching the ER cast on The Rosie Show yesterday and they had Kristen on for a second and she said George would always try to get her to laugh so she stuck something on his back to try and get him back but he knew it was there right away

I also loved Rosemary Clooney, Sally Field, Ewan McGregor (his episode is one of my favorites), Susan Sarandon, Ray Riotta, Cynthia Nixon.... ER had so many great guest-stars!

This thread is a great idea. I like the title - it's so true.

Forest Whittaker was great.

Cynthia Nixon....
Loved her episode! It was incredible how much emotion she could get across with just her voice when her face was paralysed.

Forrest was amazing. I never expected his storyline to go the way it did. One minute he was a depressed former patient and then suddenly he was holding Abby and Joe hostage.

Oh yeah! I vaguely remember him.

I used to look forward to the first or second episode of every season because that was when they always introduced the new med students/interns for that year. Hope was one of my favourites. Does anyone remember when Pratt was teaching her how to intubate and he told her "Take a breath - if you run out of air it means you're taking too long" and she ended up fainting?

It was, too bad they didn't get more episodes as a couple.
