Thank God it's Friday!

I am going to a Buffy Night next month and everyone is encouraged to dress up. I will be going as Spike, so I just need to track down a black leather trench coat and a peroxide blonde wig.

I'll be hunting through old costume shops over the weekend to find what I need.

Hello everyone!

We got back yesterday. We had a meeting at the hospital with a doctor, nurse and physio about Nana and we didn't get good news. They wont operate on her so they will just make her as comfortable as possible and they talked about quality of life. She will move into a rest home in the next week and a half. I feel like I've cried non stop for the last 24 hours. I kinda knew that this was coming but it doesn't make the reality of it any easier.

Watching the footage from Japan is scary. These natural disasters seem to be happening a lot more often now. We had a tsunami warning for the north of the country but it didn't amount to anything much.

We also have a tsunami warning as well. Let's just hope everyone in the tsunami warning areas are all prepared for the worst.

I hope so. This is more heartbreaking than I could have imagined. It has also been reported that 13 people were killed in NYC when a tour bus turned on its side.

Unrelated to Japan, but still such a devastating thing.

We just have to spend what time with her that we can. She had two good days when we were there and then they put her back on morphine and it made her all confused.

They had taken her off morphine which was strange because it had kept her pain under control.

The news about the nuclear reactor is pretty scary. They just said on one of the news channels that if it explodes it could wipe out the whole of Asia.

It sounds like Chernobyl all over again. Nuclear power really isn't a good thing.

I'm really scared about the nuclear situation. Last I read, over 200,000 people have been evacuated from nearby areas.

The Japanese government said this is the worst crisis for the country since WWII.

So, I've really gotten into Mad Men. I finished Season 2 last night and it is a riveting show. All the storylines simmer for AGES and the show provides a great insight into the attitudes toward sex, politics, health and lifestyle in the early 60s.

The day the earthquake and tsunami happened both my mom and sister wanted to know if everything was ok here and all, it's so weird to think that these things can happen where I am, I mean, in Brazil nothing like this has ever happened, so to be in a place where it might, it's scary

So sad for Japan

I wanna give Mad Men a try

I just finished the first season of Castle

And I just remembered that tomorrow there's a new episode of House and it'll be their first episode apart
