That's why I put 'only' in quotation marks. It's perceived as little by 2006 network standards, but in terms of impacting an audience, it's actually pretty sizeable.

I think Alex Kingston was incredibly underrated. Most of us are big fans of her, so it is easy to overlook that neither she nor Elizabeth were really one of the talked-about actors/characters on the show in terms of accolades and press attention. If Maura was still able to get the show on the Emmy radar during Season 7, I wish that Alex could have earned a nomination too. She did such incredible work.

Absolutely. Alex is one of too many actors who have led accomplished careers but never really received the critical acclaim they deserve.
