That's why I put 'only' in quotation marks. It's perceived as little by 2006 network standards, but in terms of impacting an audience, it's actually pretty sizeable.

Anyway, other than the Africa episodes, is there anything else you thought was underrated?

I think Alex Kingston was incredibly underrated. Most of us are big fans of her, so it is easy to overlook that neither she nor Elizabeth were really one of the talked-about actors/characters on the show in terms of accolades and press attention. If Maura was still able to get the show on the Emmy radar during Season 7, I wish that Alex could have earned a nomination too. She did such incredible work.

Oops, forgot to answer the Alex comment SO true, though, specially this:

She so deserved it It's easy to pay more attention to Mark on season 7 cause he's the one going through the disease, but the part of the family member who's there through the whole thing is just as important and hard to play, imo, and she did it perfectly

Absolutely. Alex is one of too many actors who have led accomplished careers but never really received the critical acclaim they deserve.
