Thanks to Annoymous1 (hope I spelled it right ) for suggesting I start a Canadian thread.

Here's some news:

Due to the Season Finale of Grey's Antanomy, it might cut into the running time of ER by 15 minutes in some areas on CTV. Check your local listing for more info.

yay!! Canadian thread!!! I don't think Grey's is going to cut ER for me. They show Greys at 8pm then CSI at 9pm and then ER at 10pm...sooo if anything, it will cut into CSI haha

Here's CTV's fall schedule for ER - Thursdays @ 7:00pm E/P and this does not affect NBC's schedule, whatever that may be.

Sucks for me cause I'm usually still at work at that time.

Does it annoy anyone else that in Canada we see different promos for the next episode? I mean why does CTV make their own ones? Can't be just see NBC's promos... although, sometimes the CTV promo has been better than NBCs... now I'm just rambling.

ya I dont understand why CTV has different promo's either ... and ER comes on at 10:00 pm for me, and it is still on CTV... anyone watch at 7:00 pm?

I believe (though I'm not 100%) that each network makes their own promos. I know that, when ER is shown overseas, the promos are different from those in the US. My understanding is that the networks themselves (NBC, CTV, RTE, etc) each make their own promos, which explains why they choose different clips, music, voiceovers, etc.

Oh, that's makes sense about the promos having to be different for every network. The good news is I guess if CTV shows it at 7pm and NBC at 10pm we'll get to see both promos... I just found it annoying when CTV would cut into NBC and then all we'd get is the Canadian promo... If I'm watching NBC, that's the promo I wanna C! lol ... anywho, I guess my wish will come true when the new season starts... although I'll probably only be watching if Shane West comes back
