But I can't say I'm surprised either

Very few of my couples on any show have ever gotten as great of an ending. Great endings for TV couples are kinda like shooting stars. You don't get them very often, but when you do.. it's amazing.

Someone should put that on a fanart for the intro.

Their ending was definitely amazing. I don't think any of my other TV couples have ever gotten anything good, or even decent. I am seriously bad at picking ships to support, lol.

I love they call George's appearance "at the time, the best kept secret in Hollywood". Aww, I wonder how woulda been to see that episode the first time that aired...awesome.

And I agree with all of you. Their ending is definitely a rare one on TV-land...I can say for sure that they are the only couple I ship who had such a memorable send off. I'm not very lucky on the shipping department either, lol. But I'm glad D&C got such beautiful ending.

Happy endings for the couples I like are definitely few and far between. But being an avid Buffy fan, I'm sort of drawn to couples whose final destination will not be anything other than tragic. :rolleyes;

I think doug/carol is like the holy grail of ships. I sat here thinking ofr 5 min trying to remember another couple that got the happy ending. The only ones I could think of were Charlene and Scott off neighbours which will be meaningless here and Angel and Buffy in my dreams....
