Let's not re-write history: he left not knowing she was pregnant, then she refused to let him come back when he found out, and she rejected his subsequent offers to move to Seattle.

The situation was not easy if you thing twice and as Stephen says, he didn´t know she was pregnant when he left and she did not want him to come back just for that reason.

Well, honestly, I never understood why they HAD to break up just because he was moving, it's not like there wasn't internet, phone and they couldn't visit each other and make it work long distance. But if fictional characters acted reasonably all the time, where would the fun be, right?


But yeah, like Stephen said, he didn't know and she pushed him away several times after he did. And it's not like she was giving up on her career to be with him or anything. She was choosing to be happy. I was way more disappointed at Rachel getting off the plane for Ross, for example, and waaaaaaaaaaaay more disappointed with CSI, when Sara had JUST been promoted and gave it up like it was nothing the minute Grissom showed up

I think the biggest uproar would have been due to George not coming back at all for SSS.

I think they decided to "break up" because the situation.... because it would have been harder if they didn´t. But it was like they didn´t break up, just taking some time... and at the end, they ended up together so. Just like some time to see how much they missed each other !

Do you think Doug had someone, not as Luka with Carol (because that one was cloase ) but someone who maybe liked him and he didn´t stop her since the beggining?

I wonder as well if the arrangement between Doug and Carol was deliberately vague so as not to preclude potential guest appearances from George in Season 6.

I am sure Doug got some female attention during that period, but no, in my head I don't think of there being anything significant.

I actually forgot about the fact she didn't want him to be with her only because of babies. Been a long time I've watched it. Usually it's 7th or 8th season that always in reruns.
