So Alex has said that she would have stayed on ER forever if given the choice, so if the writers had kept creating stories for her character, where do you imagine Elizabeth would have gone in Season 12, 13 and beyond?

To be honest, I think Elizabeth's storyline ended with Season 11. I can't imagine her with anyone other than Mark, Romano died during season 10, and Peter is with Cleo (). However, if they wanted to explore Elizabeth's character further, maybe they can expound on raising Ella, connecting with Rachel, and possibly establish other friendships with the ER and surgery staff. I especially liked her interaction with the female characters (Carol, Kerry, Abby, Susan, etc.).

Thank God I'm not alone! I wanted her to stay, which is why I asked the question in my last post, but it did feel like the writers were scraping the bottom of the barrel by the time she left.

Yeah, that would have been good Plus, if Neela had transferred to surgery sooner, we could have seen Elizabeth and Neela develop a mentor/student relationship like we used to have with Benton and Carter. Plus maybe the writers could have contrived some story where Elizabeth and Neela went back to England for some special medical conference and we got to see Alex and Parminder on their home turf.
