I thought they had zero chemistry, and I was looking for something between them. Where/how did you see chemistry?

I was really hoping for something between them because I was eager for a love interest arc, the show was my first exposure so I didn't know anything about Yen (now I'm reading books and playing video game - not obsessed at all). But even watching it again, it seems like Cavill played it with animosity toward Triss - as if he can't stand to be around her.
