I guess in a way that's a testament to how good a character Han was. He single-handedly makes Tokyo Drift relevant to the other movies.
And that they brought him back for three more movies despite the fact he died in his first appearance. __________________

Well that's because Tokyo Drift takes place after F6 apparently.
You don't think they had this planned out for a couple movies? Or they just decide to make other movies leading up to that one? __________________

Tokyo does take place after events of F6 and it leads right into F7
 where even believe they show the death of Han at beginning of F7 where doesn’t Deckard call one of them just as it’s happened__________________

Tokyo Drift definitely wasn't originally intended to take place in 2014. They had to retcon that movie's place in the F&F timeline.
