Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website. As we want every board to have their own unique look it is preferable that you do not link to the customisations of other boards as suggested colour schemes.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Chelle, or Kate a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes approximately two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have finished making the graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

Can't remember if black/white photoshoots are able to be used?

cause these first 2 are in B/W

GQ 2019 - even outside of it being black/white, don't even think it offers any real profile type pictures

however, its the only real recent

Esquire 2017

The following is in color but not looking any further cause than would be looking at 2016-older

I just need to stop looking at photoshoots cause keep going earlier and still finding good ones

Don't think we should go too far back

generally GT prefers closer to now cause older photoshoots can be "dated" right from the get go

I did see and like that first photoshoot

The 2nd wouldn't be able to work cause needs to be a photoshoot with at least 3 workable profile like pictures for the banner

he hasn't done anything recent though, thats the problem.

I do really like the esquire gq photoshoot. but thats in black&white. will that work? or do we need to find something in color?

We need that answered

first about whether the Esquire 2017 that's b/w is doable cause I honestly don't know if they work with black/white

if its not than leaves us no choice but to look at 2015-2016 cause think it was the only one for 2017

I did find a colored 2017

so basically it'll probably end up being a 2017, just the matter of b/w can be used or the GQ Women's Health

I've always thought Esquire did amazing photoshoots

I've got a fave Nina Dobrev one they did years back, 2012 maybe

but anytime I come across Esquire than I know it'll be great

yeah they do great photos.

some of the older photos are not to bad though cuz he really doenst look that different over the years. its just depends on if he has long or short hair or how long his beard is. but we can shift through photos and find some good ones I guess

No he doesn't really change or hasn't really changed in the past 5 or so years

probably most of the photoshoots are similar that he looks

so guess see what the answer is about black/white than we can look at the colored ones if needed

We don't use black and white pictures at all in the graphics

More recent pictures are preferred so the board doesn't have a dated look from the start. But we will take into consideration if you really want a certain look like beard vs. no beard etc.

To add to what Kate said, since we prefer to go with the most recent if that was 5 years ago then that is unfortunately our choice

. If needed we can look at recent appearances but photoshoots are preferable. So if you are happy with whatever are his most recent usable photoshoots then that is fine

Guess we have some discussing on beard or no beard, short or longer hair

Also what everyone thinking on color scheme? I threw out a blue/gray but not even sure really what I think

Hair length isn't likely to make a noticable difference in the graphic based on those pictures. I would recommend going with the 2017 shoot due to it being the newer shoot, however if you prefer the facial hair then the 2016 shoot seems to be your best option. Maybe consider which look is going to feel more updated for your board to since both are a few years old now?

As for colours please take a look around the design seeds website to see if any colour schemes jump out at you. You can search by colour or check out various themed collections of colour schemes. Alternatively we can always design one for you (although I normally do that & looks like my laptop is broken so someone else may need to do that), or we can combine different colours from a few colour schemes you like.

Things to think about: What sort of colours do you associate with him? What colours do you like? What sort of colours do you feel you'd like to be looking a for long periods of time?
