Both of you make some good points.
Like I said, I was torn! It was a Catch-22. |

Aww yea, it was not easy to watch it happen. :')
But I think either you are against or not against the accords, the part that was really difficult for me to watch was Steve and Bucky fighting together against Tony, that was terrible. I know Bucky was his friend but so was Tony. __________________

Yea, but on that scene I was really disappointed with Cap. I can even forgive him for not telling Tony the truth about his parents (I think he should have told him, but I understand why he didn't), and I get that he wanted to protect Bucky, but Tony was his friend too. And Tony's reaction to finding out about his parents was very natural, anyone would have been angry, I think Cap should have tried to calm him down instead of actually fighting with him.
I do agree that the writing was amazing, this angst makes me mad but I also love it. __________________

^I feel the same way, Mel. I hated what happened in Siberia.
And I hated the letter he wrote to Tony too. When he said that The Avengers was more Tony's family than his. I just wanted to slap some sense into to Steve for saying that because he pretty much got all of the Avengers on his side at the end. Leaving only Rhodey left on the team with Tony. (Vision doesn't count as he also left in the end). __________________

Right??? He took the Avengers and then went "Nah, I think I'll do my own thing. You can have them back." It's like when parents get divorced and they pit the children against one of the parents but then go "I'm going to travel the world! Here, have the children." That totally doesn't have consequences.

Yeah. It just makes me so upset the way he acted in CW.

It's frustrating, upsetting and so sad. I'm kind of glad we didn't get a fourth CA, I don't know if I could've handle another movie about him without them addressing his sudden aversion to the law and following the rules and just listening to other opinions.
I'm totally fine with someone going through that journey due to trauma and betrayal etc. but I need to see that journey and the motives, it's what the writing here really lacked. __________________

I think that would be good. To really see why he was like he was in CW.

We must've missed a big chunk of his story, it seems to me.
