I'd have to say that they are more than friends! Much more!

..for one thing they are both Aliens: Michael from the moment he crawled out of his pod and Kyle from the moment Max Healed him!

So true, and the one thing that they both wanted was the family they never really had.

Very astute observation. That's really something they had in common.

They have many things in common if you think about it.... and yeah, I have!

They both have the need for approval. They both need to know the truth- for Michael is where they were from and for Kyle it was the need to know what was going on with Liz and his father. They both act before thinking- both leading them into trouble.

And they both have a love/hate realationship with Max- as I'm sure everyone's picked up on at one time or another!

tehe. That reminds me of my favourite lines in graduation...
Something like:
Kyle: I should be around my own kind when my powers kick in
Michael: Does he really get to start referring to us as his own kind?

(Too lazy too look up the real quote)

Speaking of fics- here is an excerpt from Leaving

"Please, Kyle." He whispers as he tugs you closer and your chest collides with his. It's the most contact you've had with him and it's more than you can take. "Let's leave."

"Michael," you begin, not sure if that is the best idea, but all you can think about is how warm he feels, how his warm breath tickles your ear, how scorching hot his touch is through your jacket. And you want more.

"Kyle," he hisses as he lowers his head slightly, his lips brushing against your ear. "Come with me."

The double meaning isn't missed by you and you suck in a quick breath. "Yes." You answer and he pushes you against the nearest tree.

"Good," he exhales as he pins you to the tree, his hands everywhere and suddenly his lips are pressed against yours.

"God," You gasp, opening your mouth, needing to taste him. The kiss is heated and rough, and it's the best kiss you've ever had.

"What about Buddha?" He chuckles, nipping at your lips and you moan into his mouth.

Actually... that's pretty accurate (I'm too lazy to look-it-up too! )

I make use of that several times in "Kyle's Diary."
