Well...Gil was never meant to be liked though.

I guess they could try to "redeem" him ala Season 3 Chris Keller (on One Tree Hill), but I kinda doubt it. Assuming he comes back for a guest appearance or two, he'll probably just make trouble.

It's kind of hard to imagine a Gil redemption arc. I think he'd just bring more drama if he comes back.

Actually no? I didn't really realize it till you pointed it out but yeah. Maybe he'll be back to do a bit more of that.
