In 1x14 when Ace and Nancy are in the library, a guy walks by with a stack of the old yellow hard cover Nancy Drew books!
And I'm pretty sure Hannah Gruen from the Historical Society is a book character. __________________

And yes Hannah Gruen was apparently Carson/Nancy's housekeeper in the books.
Also, in the Pilot (which I just re-watched) there's a River Heights Dr. street sign (which is where the original books were set- River Heights, IL to be exact). __________________

I caught the River Heights sign too when I rewatched the pilot!
I noticed a few other things too. Mostly they have to do with the titles to the OG books:
Looking for things like this is a lot easier when you already know what happens so you don't have to pay attention to the plot as much |

I've been trying to keep a list as I rewatch but I forget sometimes haha but here's a few more:
-Keene High School-after the name the OG books were written under -The old clock that all the clues are in in 1x03-the very first book is the Secret of the Old Clock -I just rewatched 1x05 and I paused over the sticky note that had the passwords Laura had tried to use to get into Tiffany's computer because I was convinced they would all be Easter eggs One is Hollow Oak, and one of the books is the message in the Hollow Oak. There's also a book called the Phantom of Pine Hill which is the company (?) that's on all of the documents Nick and Ace find once they get into the computer. -I was poking around the fan wiki the other day and I learned that the illustrator for most of the original books was named Russell Tandy, like Laura |

Already recognized the Bungalow shout-out in 2x01 and the Stratemeyer Woods in 2x02. Also, the Bobbsey twins are a walking Easter Egg even though they never crossed over with ND in the books. __________________
