It just depends on how much focus they even want to give Carson. There's much more focus on The Drew Crew, so it might be a while before he gets another love interest.

There is probably something in his contract. Maybe he only wanted to be in so many episodes a season.

Carson is actually missing from quite a few episodes tbh. I have to think how many...but it's more than I realized. He's not even in the season finale. Well...obviously that wasn't meant to be the real finale...but he wasn't in 1x18.

Well, it's probably better for him to be in episodes when he actually has meaningful scenes instead of just being there for no reason.
