Honestly, I'm thinking it's probably Ryan's father who killed Lucy... if Carson knows who killed her then he would make since. Carson promising Kate not to work for another Hudson would make more sense if that's the case.

I may be in the minority, but I really like this more morally gray take on Carson Drew and the way Scott Wolf is playing him.

I think Episode 3 pretty much cemented that the Hudson family had something to do with Lucy's death and that Carson, as an attorney for the family, may have helped cover things up (I don't think he had any direct involvement in her death, though), only to later have reservations - along with his wife - and cut ties with the family until Nancy's arrest and the fear of losing her drove him to break the promise he'd made to never work for the family again.

I definitely think Ryan's parents or another family member had something to do with Lucy's death. Not Ryan though. I just don't think Carson would've given in and helped Ryan if he knew he had something to do with Lucy dying. So I think it's likely it was a relative of Ryan.
