Thanks for starting Petra!!

The only thing we know about Ace's dad is that his name is Thom (probably short for Thomas) and he's a decorated, retired Captain in the police department. We also know he had an accident that left him deaf when Ace was 6 years old (Ace is 20 now...because it's 14 years later).

i know very odd most cops detectives give thier surnames not first names

On a more serious note, I really and truly love their scenes together. Their relationship is so precious AND it gives Ace even more character depth.

true , and in most shows the cops get called by their surnames not their first names

I really, really hope we see more of their relationship in Season 2 and they cast him mom. I imagine his mom is really like affectionate and probably rubs him on the head alot.
