Nothing should happen right now anyway...I'm talking episodes and episodes down the line. The storyline would be friends to lovers...but it would take like an entire season to get there...maybe more. It's about the build-up! Do you honestly think I want them hooking up right now? OMG. That's not what we're saying at all! That would ruin them.

OMG.

Why on Earth would I want them hooking up right now? We're talking about building them up! Build-up is the best part! Look at Harry/Macy! Something like that (maybe not exactly...but you know what I mean)!

Besides, neither of them is emotionally ready for that right now. Owen JUST died. And Nancy/Nick have only been broken up for a month. Granted it wasn't like they were dating for that long anyway, but still...Nancy needs time and distance from those two relationships...and she needs to heal from her trauma. Ace and Laura just broke up and I'm pretty sure he's got some drama coming up for him too. They need to build a strong friendship first before anything physical happens.

I'm talking about potential and the future. Isn't that the point of shipping?

Owen is sad , and Laura i don't count lol i didn't feel a big love with that one from Ace at least nothing .

Harry/ Mary got together so quickly though by season 2 haha but they laid down the work early in season 2 .

We will see what season 2 has in store for them , or in general going to be so odd with these limits and all not as much romance I guess ?

Wait...you think Harry/Macy got together quickly? It took all of Season 2 and the show used a lot of tropes to keep them apart and it looks like they're setting up another "plot twist" to keep them apart again.

Oh definitely about Laura...Ace wasn't 100% into her, but still...they just broke up. I actually kinda compare Laura to Owen. Nancy was just using Owen as a means to escape her life. He was someone that was removed from pretty much everything that was going on. Pretty much the same thing with Nick. Nancy was using him to escape her trauma and they tried to make it "real" for a couple of weeks, but Nancy has way too many trust issues and Nick just didn't understand how to handle her in order to make it work between them. It just crashed and burned.

You can do romance though without getting too physical. Haven't you ever watched/read any period romances?

Yeah Laura was meh I remember asking you early on of you liked her with Ace cause I didn't, were are Owen and Nancy i didn't mind but I just knew he will get killed off caus eve wasn't that important to the storyline and she needed that shock ( poor thing ).

Lastly read /watched period peices not a lot , no , I can't even think if any shows

Laura/Ace were okay. She was all over him and I think he was just lonely and liked the attention. I really loved their break-up scene though for Ace's character. But I wouldn't say I shipped them or anything like that. She was a plot point.

Did you really think that? I didn't think they were OTP or anything like that either...and honestly I wasn't that surprised he was killed off. Owen was a weird character to shoe-horn in there with the rest of the group. He seemed way too "ADULT" to be hanging at The Claw.

I actually kind of liked Laura and Ace together. It was nice to see him with someone other than the Drew Crew (since we hadn't seen his dad at that point). But yeah I do agree that their relationship was more to move the plot forward and to add another layer to the mystery. And I am very glad Ace didn't go to Paris with her and stayed in Horseshoe Bay (with Nancy)

It was amazing for Ace's character. Being with Laura helped to give him layers and made him feel like a three-dimensional character. It helped they had chemistry, but I never saw them as long-term (just like Nancy/Owen).

And I loved their break-up scene and how he said he didn't want to run away from Horseshoe Bay. I thought it was incredible foreshadowing for what is to come with his individual character and hopefully his relationship with Nancy.

that is a good point , it was a good solo storyline for Ace, it was good to see what he wanted for himself what he wants to do in his life

Exactly! It's no coincidence that he spent the whole investigating Tiffany and Lucy's deaths. You can tell he's really, really into it...and that his future lies in Horseshoe Bay...not in Paris.

I definitely need to gif that scene.
