There are so many. On the site I listed there's at least 3 different versions of the books.

I'm not sure if I've ever read any of the books, but if I have it was a very long time ago.

I don't recall ever reading any of the books. I'm more into the Nancy Drew video/computer games.

I love the books! I am planning to re-read #2 The Hidden Staircase tonight in honor of the premiere of the show this week.

I went to the Nancy Drew Panel at New York Comic Con yesterday.
I was not sure what to expect being I grew up reading the books. I loved them so much but I remember in grammar school our teacher always telling us you can't use Nancy Drew for your summer reading book report requirement. Anyway this Nancy Drew is everything you loved with a twist. I don't want to give too much away but the creator said how if you read the books they wanted to play on the supernatural expect of them and the creepy darkness element to them. If you enjoy thrillers especially if you love classic horror films you will totally enjoy Nancy Drew. I love how it was told from her point of view. The episode I thought dragged in some places but that was more of a lead up as to what was the come. The ending left you wanting more. You will be hooked to solve the mystery along with her. In classic Nancy Drew fashion she is smart witty and determined to solve the case. If you enjoyed the books you will love the series. It also helps that the lead actress Kennedy McMann also is a super fan of the books as well. The creators also said how they are playing around with the idea of maybe having The Harvey Boys show up as well as the series goes on down the road. Kennedy McMann said her favorite Nancy Drew is The Hidden Stair Case and The Mystery of the Lilac Inn along with many others. She loved how Nancy was independent, sassy, smart, and always wanted to help the ones she loved. There was a moment during the Q&A where the actress Kennedy McMann saw a close family friend of her's in the audience and he got up and spoke at the Q&A about how proud he was of her and the hard work she put into making her dreams come true as an actress. She was so touched by how if you are an actor you live to get the role of a life time and how it still is all surreal to see her photo on a poster and playing a character she loves. It was such a raw and human moment. Just like Nancy Drew it come from the heart. Nancy Drew has heart and is a mystery you will want to unfold and solve. So watch it! __________________

I read a few of the books when I was a kid...but I honestly don't remember any of them. I do remember the imagery of some of the covers thought...like the "Secret of the Old Clock" and "The Hidden Staircase".

I also remember that I read a couple when I was a kid but I don't really remember them. I definitely am familiar with some of the imagery though!
