Alright! I just rewatched the finale that wasn't supposed to be a finale but actually works quite well as one!

-Poor Nancy
-Whitney is totally the type to ask to speak to the manager.
-Nick trying to comfort George is really sweet. But aw her saying "not here"
-lol at Lizbeth saying the Marvins have an allergy to law enforcement
-It is nice of Ryan to check in on Nancy....he's trying
-Seance 2.0 time! The Aglaeca is super spooky!
-I forgot there's a lot of Ace and Nancy in this episode! I love when they pair off together.
-Cousin Isaac is so funny! "The hall of tragedies" Nick: "there's a whole hall?"
-Yay a Hannah Gruen appearance! "The Agleaca collects its entire toll at once and you're all still alive" Ace: "as far as we know"
-Nancy talking about hooking up with Owen in front of Ace is a little awkward. But I love how he doesn't make any jokes or comments or anything.
-Isaac: "Marvins don't rat" then Cassidy ratting about him being a catfish made me laugh '
-I think the Ace and Nancy scene at Owen's apartment is one of my favorites! The way he supports her but doesn't push her is great! Ace and Nick actually are both really great this episode with Nancy and George respectively.
-George going off on Ryan is an awesome scene too! I'm glad the writers included it and acknowledged that a older married man with a 17 year old girl wasn't okay and that it did a number on how George views romantic relationships. It's a really bad look for Ryan. On the bright side, Leah Lewis is awesome in the scene!
-Also I wish the show wasn't on the CW so she didn't have to say freaking
-Ace is hacking!
-Lizbeth: "stay here" Ace and Nancy: *leave immediately*
-This is a sweet scene with Nancy and Patrice. It would by cute if they could build some type of relationship. A grandmother/granddaughter relationship can be really special.
-Ace: "Green jello that's the good stuff"
-How did I forget that Owen died protecting Nancy? That's so big.
-Josh is so scary all burned. This whole scene of them on the roof is really scary actually.
-Ace telling the Drew Crew how awesome Nancy is
-Aw the scene of Nick and George outside the laundromat is great! I love her finally getting closure with Ryan and how Nick waited but was never pushy about it. And I love George saying "I deserve whatever the hell I want"
-The painting at Diana's house is soooo creepy.
-The last scene is great! The music goes with it super well, and it's so ominous and well done!

This episode actually works super well as a finale! It's a great episode with some really great scenes, almost everything gets wrapped up (except the Aglaeca), and the last scene is a great cliffhanger for next season. They got pretty lucky ending here.

I can't wait until I get to gif him! OMG. I love him. He needs to come back in Season 2 and just continue to crack inappropriate jokes.

It was weird...but Ace isn't one to judge. I mean he did hook up with Laura in The Claw's freezer. Let's hope George doesn't find out about that one! I actually kinda blame Bess though. She was the one talking so loudly about it. I mean...discretion girl!

There's so many good Ace and Nancy moments It was a great episode and fun to recap.

I think that's where they were! He drove her home since the Fans have an apartment above it (that maybe he was also still living in? They never said if he got his own place and he was a little busy since last episode when he said he would do that ) and they were outside it when they kissed then saw themselves drowning.

Wait...he was driving her home?!! I just thought they went somewhere randomly. Wow...I've watched the finale ALOT of times too and I guess I never got it until you explained it to me!

• I love this song though.

• Okay the part with Owen and the portents made me laugh a little bit though. I know that's bad of me. LOL!

• "I'm not even sure you know his middle name."

• "Ace is giving his statement now." It seems like they're always giving statements to the police!

• Lisbeth thinks Nancy is totally cracked with this Algaeca talk.

• I really love this Drew Crew scene. Ace's voice is very calming. He should do audiobooks.

• The blocking of this scene is kinda weird though...like four characters are bunched on one side and Ace is all by himself on the other. Do they think he has cooties?

• "Like Tinkerbell?" <3

• Poor Nancy. She's so sad over Owen. She needs time to heal. <3

• Also...Bess is already letting Aunt Diana dictate her life. This is NOT going to end well. I also sense George may rip her a new one soon.

• Nick is a big believer in open communication eh?

• "What if PDA just isn't my thing?" "That's fine...I guess." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN NICK?!

• Oh look...it's Ryan! Man...this is awkward.

• Nancy's really got her work cut out for her, doesn't she? She's going to be needing lots of support from her friends...assuming they're not too busy with their own drama.

• This seance is actually really, really creepy. I jump every time I see that damn Algaeca.

• Maybe Nick should go to school to become a psychiatrist?!

• Awww Ace and Nick are holding hands! <3

• No Bess...it's not Owen...

• Kennedy had a really, really good scream there!

• Nick wants to fix the coffee table.

• Okay...let's talk about this scene. Why didn't Bess's BFF Ace volunteer to go with her during her time of grief? That's because the writers wanted Ace/Nancy to spend the whole episode together solving the case. It was SO glaring of a choice, it's not even funny. I mean...even Nick is like "we're here for you." Why didn't Ace say that instead?! This was definitely an awkwardly plotted scene IMHO.

• "Will you stay with Nancy?" "Yeah, definitely." Sounded right out of an episode of Dawson's Creek.

• Also...why were Ace/Nancy randomly standing around next to each other? Were they putting something away? Maybe the ghost traps? Like...it just seemed so weird they were standing in the middle of the room together. Love it though!

• And she just had to touch him.

• COUSIN ISAAC! <3 Please come back!!!

• "there's a whole hall?" Yeah, the Marvins are probably cursed.

• Aunt Diana may have loved Owen, but I think she likes the fact that she can control Bess more. Owen seemed to have way more independence. Also...this isn't going to end well especially with Diana wanting to know what really happened to Owen. How is Bess going to explain everything without revealing Nancy's true parentage?!

• Bess and Lisbeth aren't going to last very long in Season 2 IMHO either.

• Ace's jacket! We need that back in Season 2!

• "She did have a tail."

• Do you think Hannah Gruen wants to record their encounters with the Aglaeca for her records now??!?!

• "As far as we know..." LOOKS!

• It's definitely ironic that Nancy thought she was directly responsible for Owen's death cause of the Algaeca when really she's indirectly responsible because of her crazy uncle. It's DEFINITELY not her fault though.'

• I love how Bess seems so scandalized about someone in her family being a murderer, when the Marvins obviously have SO MANY skeletons in their closet. It's probably gonna be a shock to the system.

• I love how Ace just switches the subject when Nancy was talking about Owen's apartment.

• Bess, Lizbeth ain't that stupid girl! LOL!

• "Marvin's don't rat." HE IS A PEACH!

• UH OH....poor George!

• Nick was acting really aggressive in this scene. I don't like when he acts like this.'

• RYAN/GEORGE! Such an important scene!!! I'm so glad they included this exchange. It was important so both characters could move on. Leah Lewis is MAGNIFICENT here!

• I love how Nancy just HAD to lean so, so close to Ace like that.

• "Stay here." NOPE!

• Watching this Nancy/Ace car scene...you can totally tell how they've adjusted Ace's character since the early episodes. He still has his humor and will crack jokes, but they actually let him be serious.

• I love how Ace is just standing watch. Green jello!

• Love this Patrice/Nancy scene!

• "I'm not Lucy. I'm her daughter actually." Was that the first time she said those words aloud?

• Okay...I'm guessing this whole Morse Code scene was to get Ace out of the way so Joshua could attack Nancy? Am I wrong?

• "Sweetie...he never left.."

• Poor Ace...walked right into the trap...

• Was that the room where Josh was staying?! Or was it just a happy coincidence?!

• Why didn't Nancy wonder where Ace was?! Wouldn't it make sense to have back-up? I'm glad she called Lisbeth though!

• I mean at least Owen died a hero. Of course, this is just going to make Nancy feel more guilty because in the end...he was just a distraction to her. She didn't love him.

• I love how Ace is so proud of Nancy! And she brought him french fries!

• The Algaeca! The first thing Bess should do is take a picture of that and send it to everyone else...but it doesn't seem like she did that?!'

• Love this coda sequence! Really wish "Collector" by Beasty Eyes was on Spotify.

• BOTTOM LINE: An awesomely balanced episode that was able to also serve as the de facto Season 1 finale. Also, all the Ace/Nancy scenes! They are perfection! Nick/George was also really sweet too! I seriously wonder what else would have happened in the last four episodes. It'll be interesting to see what actually carries over to Season 2! I can't wait to see what happens next!

Yeahhhhhh I'm not going to complain about Ace and Nancy but yeah it's a little awkward that he didn't go with Bess.

Yeah I don't see it ending well tbh. Her (Bess's) relationship with the Drew Crew also might get weird.

He had a lot of character growth since the pilot! And I am so glad!
I was wondering about this too and that's the conclusion I came to
Omg I thought it was just me I really liked it too but could only find it on youtube but I thought Spotify was just being weird. The music was really good this episode!

Thanks! I think this one of my longest ones in a while. I can't believe we finished the entire season!!

It'll be interesting to see how long Lisbeth is even around in Season 2. We already have Tamura lurking about and I could totally see him sending her away.

And definitely. The more of the Marvin Kool-aid she drinks, the worse it's going to probably get with everyone else...especially because of Nancy's parentage.

I don't think the band every really officially released the song...which is unfortunate.

Definitely not...but I felt like the scene could have been rewritten so it was less obvious...but like you said...no complaining here!

Owen's parents have to be dead. Ace: Like Tinker Bell. Nancy says all the women in Ryan's life or messed up or dead. We know what happens next season. Damn, Nancy. Ace: I hope this wasn't a family heirloom. The Hall of Tragedies. Nick: There's a whole hall? Bess is so desperate for a family that she's acting like she has known these people her whole lives. Girl, it's been like a day on this show. Great Nace scenes. I love the entire DC, but I'd watch a Gen Z "X-Files" starring those two. Josh Dodd is a serial killer. He's out here killing everybody. Um, Lucy would not approve. Ace carries a pocket knife. Bess: There's no "I" in Aglaeca. This episode works well as a season finale, even though it was a premature one.
